<p>The present invention relates to an automatic thickness measuring apparatus for a rolled material and, more particularly, to an automatic thickness measuring apparatus for a rolled material, which continuously measures the thickness of a rolled material during a rolling process, and, when a thickness error occurs, transmits the error information to a rolling mill in order to automatically regulate the amount of rolling. The automatic thickness measuring apparatus for a rolled material comprises: a winding roll which winds a rolled material that is pressurized while passing between the upper and lower part rolls of a rolling mill; a sensor unit which measures the thickness of the rolled material by irradiating radiation to the rolled material to be wound on the winding roll; and a process control unit which receives the thickness information of the rolled material measured by the sensor unit, compares the thickness information with a target thickness in order to calculate a thickness error of the rolled material, and transmits the calculated error value to a controller of the rolling mill.</p> |
