PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shovel including a revolving drive device capable of efficiently discharging abrasion powder occurring during revolving operation.SOLUTION: A shovel according to one embodiment of the invention is equipped with a revolving drive device 40 having a revolving electric motor 21, a mechanical brake 23, and a revolving speed reducer 24. The revolving drive device 40 includes: gear cases 50, 52 which form a space SP1 for accommodating a first revolving speed reducer 24-1 lubricated by a lubrication oil and the mechanical brake 23. The gear case 52 has a recessed part 52r in a portion forming a bottom surface of the space SP1. |
