<p>A hanger system (1) for the secured attachment of an illuminated fixture (46) to a load bearing element is presented. The hanger system (1) includes a crossbar (2), a canopy (3), and at least two cables (4). The crossbar (2) further includes at least two sockets (21) each having a first slot (27). The canopy (3) is disposed along and contacts one side of the crossbar (2). The canopy (3) further includes at least two second slots (16). Each first slot (27) is separately aligned with one second slot (16). Each cable (4) includes an anchor (28) at a first end. Each anchor (28) is rotatably disposed within one socket (21) so that the cable (4) extends through the first and second slots (27, 16). The cable (4) is rotatably disposed within the paired arrangement of slots (27, 16). Each cable (4) also has a second end attachable to the illuminated fixture (46). The hanger system (1) could further include optional features such as a power cord (11) or a stem (30). The stem (30) may be configured in a fixed or rotational arrangement between crossbar (3) and illuminated fixture (46).</p> |
