<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can effectively inhibit voids in images while suppressing deterioration of a developer.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes: an image carrier 1; a developer carrier 41; a magnetic field generating member 42 that is fixedly arranged in a hollow part of the developer carrier 41, and has a plurality of magnetic poles in a circumferential direction of the developer carrier 41; a conductive member 7 that is arranged at a position corresponding to predetermined odd-number pole upstream of a magnetic pole corresponding to a developing area D from among the plurality of magnetic poles in a direction of rotation of the developer carrier 41; a power source 9 that applies voltage to the conductive member 7; potential detection devices 121 and 122 that detect potential on the image carrier 1; and a control unit 110 that controls the voltage to be applied to the conductive member 7 by the power source 9 on the basis of potential information before and after development of a predetermined latent image pattern formed on the image carrier 1.</p> |
