<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web cutting apparatus using a rotary cutter, which can neatly cut a web.SOLUTION: The invention provides a web cutting apparatus, comprising: a feeding device to feed an elongated web w from an upstream side to a downstream side; a rotor 25 disposed on a path of feeding the web w by the feeding device; and a cutting blade 26 provided on the rotor 25. The rotor 25 comprises contact parts 28 in contact with the web w on its periphery, and the contact between the web w and the contact parts 28 changes directions of the path of feeding the web w. The circumferential rotating speed at the tip of the cutting blade 26 of the rotor 25 is set faster than the feeding speed of the web w, so that the cutting blade 26 rotates to overtake and cut the web w.</p> |
