PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound semiconductor solar battery that can achieve high efficiency, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A compound semiconductor solar battery comprises: a compound semiconductor substrate; one or a plurality of first photoelectric conversion cells formed of a first compound semiconductor material, and laminated on the compound semiconductor substrate; a bonding layer formed of a second compound semiconductor material, and laminated on the one or plurality of first photoelectric conversion cells; and one or a plurality of second photoelectric conversion cells formed of a third compound semiconductor material, bonded to the one or plurality of first photoelectric conversion cells by the bonding layer, and arranged at an incident side from the one or plurality of first photoelectric conversion cells in a light incident direction. Bandgaps of the first photoelectric conversion cell and the second photoelectric conversion cell become smaller in an order from the incident side to the interior side. A bandgap of the bonding layer is equal to or more than the bandgap of the second photoelectric conversion cell in a case where there is one second photoelectric conversion cell, and is equal to or more than a bandgap of one of the plurality of second photoelectric conversion cells in a case where there are a plurality of second photoelectric conversion cells. |
