The alignment film (6) generated by the preparation method is a light sensitive alignment film (6), which can generate directions of orientation perpendicular or parallel to the polarization direction under different dosages of linearly polarized ultraviolet light (10). By adjusting the polarization direction or dosage of the linearly polarized ultraviolet light (10), multi-dimensional orientations of the alignment film (6) is achieved. Manufacture of a multi-dimensional liquid crystal display device using a substrate (1) having the alignment film (6) with multi-dimensional orientations avoids the manufacture of the multi-dimensional electrode, and reduces costs and difficulty of process.
