PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air diffuser capable of efficiently generating fine bubbles with low blower power.SOLUTION: A membrane-type air diffuser comprises an air diffusing membrane having a plurality of pore parts. With the air diffuser operating, the air pressure supplied to the air diffusing membrane allows for expansion of the air diffusing membrane in a conical shape so as to open the pore parts. With the air diffuser shut down, the air diffusing membrane in a non-expanded state closes the pore parts. Assuming that T5 (MPa) denotes the tensile stress for an expansion of 5% of the air diffusing membrane, and t(m) denotes the thickness of the air diffusing membrane, the product T5 t of T5 and t is 0.1 to 2 MPa m. |
