PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binary power generation system capable of preventing steam of a low boiling point medium from being leaked while restraining reduction of performance.SOLUTION: A binary power generation system comprises: an evaporator for obtaining a mixture fluid of steam with a low boiling point medium and evaporation residual liquid using the steam of the low boiling point medium comprising a mixture medium of a first medium and a second medium with a lower boiling point than that of the first medium as working fluid; a separator for separating the mixture fluid into gas and liquid; a turbine; a condenser for condensing the steam of the low boiling point medium; a medium liquid feed pump for feeding the liquid low boiling point medium comprising a mixture of a condensate and the evaporation residual liquid to the evaporator; an evaporation residual liquid line for feeding the evaporation residual liquid to the medium liquid feed pump; a cooling liquid pump for circulating cooling liquid comprising the first medium into a casing of the turbine; a first medium amount detector for detecting increase of an amount of the first medium in the low boiling point medium; an evaporation residual liquid extraction mechanism; and a control device for extracting the evaporation residual liquid and reducing the amount of the first medium in the low boiling point medium on the basis of an increase amount of the first medium detected by the first medium amount detector.
