Provided are a forwarding processing method and device for a message. The method is applied to a two-layer network device, and comprises: receiving a message from a source end; judging a type of the message; and when it is judged that the type is a designated type, conducting forwarding processing on the message according to a processing procedure corresponding to the designated type. By means of the above-mentioned technical solution provided in the present invention, when a message is forwarded, technical problems that address conflicts exist, the differentiation of IGMPv3 multicast source addresses cannot be realized and the like when there is a need to convert a multicast IP address to an MAC address in the related art are solved, thereby improving the usability and the security of a multicast function. |
