PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage control device, a control program, and a method in which performance of snapshot does not degrade even when an amount of mapping information increases.SOLUTION: A storage control device is provided with first to third storage areas and a control unit. The first storage area stores original data to be updated by a host. The control unit sorts a plurality of update data every consecutive address by dividing data to be written to original data to be updated that is stored in the first storage area into a plurality of updated data. The second storage area stores the plurality of updated data sorted by the control unit. The third storage area stores information in which an update area address to be an address of the first storage area where a plurality of pieces of update data of original data to be updated are overwritten is mapped to a storage destination address to be an address of the second storage area storing the plurality of pieces of update data.
