An embodiment of the present invention provides a method, network node and system for protection switching. A communications method comprises: determining that there only exists a protection transport entity connected with a first boundary node in a second protection domain when a first transport entity is changed form a standby-state to a main-state; switching the operation to the first protection transport entity; sending a first automatic protection switching APS message carrying the request of inter domain protection switching trigger. The method, network node and system provided by the embodiment of the present invention can achieve the protection switching of end-to-end, and improve the robustness of protection network. |
