PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of collecting ink mist with simple constitution without consuming any electric power.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer (printer) 1 includes a head moving mechanism 26 which moves a print head 22 in a printer width direction X. A rear frame 55 and a front frame 56 which extend in the printer width direction X are provided on both sides across a movement path S of the print head 22 moved by the head moving mechanism 26 in a printer front-rear direction Y. Electrification filters 61, 62 are stuck on the rear frame 55 and front frame 56 respectively and filter surfaces 61a, 62a thereof are exposed to the movement path S. The electrification filters 61, 62 are composed of porous electret bodies and collect ink mist suspended in an air current generated by movement of the print head 22. |
