Coupling elements R1 to R3 couple a carrier P12, a ring gear P33, and a carrier P42, a carrier P22 with a ring gear P43, and a ring gear P23 with a carrier P32, respectively. Clutches C1 to C4 connect a sun gear P11 to a sun gear P21, the sun gear P11 to the first coupling element R1, a sun gear P11 to a sun gear P31, and the second coupling element R2 to the sun gear P31, respectively. Brakes B1 and B2 connect the sun gears P21 and P41 to a case 2, an input shaft 3 is connected to the second coupling element R2, and an output gear 4 is connected to the ring gear P13. It is thereby possible to configure the automatic transmission device capable of changing gears to 10 forward stages and a backward stage.
