INDOOR UNIT OF AIR CONDITIONER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

Disclosed is an indoor unit of an air conditioner. The indoor unit attaches a damper on an inlet to enable the suctioned air to pass through only a part of the heat exchanger to prevent the temperature of the discharged air from being lowered by a flow control operation. The indoor unit includes a back panel, a bottom panel, a front panel, an upper panel, a discharge opening, and suction openings formed on the front and upper panels. The indoor unit also includes: a first heat exchanger arranged near the upper and back panels; a second heat exchanger connected to the first heat exchanger to be arranged near the upper and front panels; a third heat exchanger which is connected to the second heat exchanger to be arranged near the front panel; a cross-flow fan discharging the air drawn in through the suction opening into a room through the discharge opening; and a damper opening or closing at least one of the heat exchangers.
