<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric element and a piezoelectric actuator in which stresses do not easily concentrate locally and fabrication work can therefore be facilitated.SOLUTION: Provided is a piezoelectric element 110 used for a piezoelectric actuator or a piezoelectric transformer, the piezoelectric element 110 having a piezoelectric layer 112 and internal electrodes 113, 114 alternately layered via the piezoelectric layer 112 and provided with an element body 111 formed in a ring shape and external electrodes 115, 116 provided on the side surface of the element body 111 and connected with the internal electrodes 113, 114, a through-hole 119 provided at center of the element body 111 having its cross section formed to a shape except a regular circle. As the piezoelectric element 110 is formed in shape of a ring, stresses do not concentrate locally and breakdown hardly occurs. Furthermore, work is facilitated when the external electrodes of the piezoelectric element 110 are formed.</p> |
