The invention relates to a method and a corresponding device for outputting x-ray information stored in a memory phosphor layer (1), wherein a stimulation light beam (3), which can excite the memory phosphor layer (1) to emit emission light, is deflected by a deflecting element (4) and thus moved alternately across the memory phosphor layer (1) in a first direction (V) and in a second direction (R), opposite the first direction (V), and, during the movements of the stimulation light beam in the first and second direction, emission light emitted from the memory phosphor layer is detected by means of a detector and converted into correspondingly first or second detector signals. In order to eliminate or to at least reduce any image artefacts in as simple and reliable a manner as possible, according to the invention first and/or second detector signals are corrected in respect of influences which originate from the stimulation light beam (3) moving alternately in the first direction (V) and in the second direction (R), opposite the first direction (V), across the memory phosphor layer (1). |
