PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer image receiving sheet capable of maintaining releasability at printing under high temperature and high humidity environment or sticking resistance, and density of a prepared printed matter, and while suppressing occurrence of roughness on a surface of the printed matter, capable of adjusting a hue of the printed matter by adjusting components of a reception layer of an image receiving paper, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A thermal transfer image receiving sheet includes a base material and a reception layer on the base material. The reception layer includes a binder resin and a colloidal silica having an average particle diameter of 40-300 nm. The colloidal silica is composed of a plurality of spherical particles having an average primary particle diameter of 2-30 nm binding together. Using a thermal transfer image receiving sheet satisfying the above composition makes it possible to maintain releasability at printing under high temperature and high humidity environment or sticking resistance and density of a prepared printed matter, and while suppressing occurrence of roughness on a surface of the printed matter, to adjust components of a reception layer of an image receiving paper, so as to adjust a hue of a printed matter and to add a bluish tint. |
