<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic isolator for a ceiling suspension apparatus which reduces stress generated at an attachment portion with a ceiling, spreads a movable range of a lighting apparatus or the like, and can reduce the oscillation of the lighting apparatus or the like which is suspended at a ceiling slab generated by an earthquake.SOLUTION: A seismic isolator for a ceiling suspension apparatus has a stage which is movable to a horizontal two-dimensional direction with respect to a ceiling face as an attachment face, and a return spring. The stage is composed of an upper slide rail part and a lower slide rail part each having a slide rail. The return spring has such a characteristic that a return force against displacement becomes non-linear by an arrangement of the spring, and is arranged so as to be brought into a substantially-orthogonal state with respect to the moving direction of each slide rail. The slide rails have rolling rollers as rolling pivots between the respective rails.</p> |
