PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of facilitating an operation for abutting on and separating from a steering wheel while suppressing cost in a steering device for steering a vehicle steering wheel.SOLUTION: A steering device 12 includes: a base part 20 mounted to a vehicle body side; a driving motor 24 fixed to the base part; and a transmission mechanism for transmitting rotating force of the driving motor 24 to a steering wheel 18. The transmission mechanism includes a belt part 36 and a support part serving as abutment means abutting to the steering wheel 18 to transmit the rotating force of the driving motor. The steering device 12 includes a first link part 28a and a second link part 28b for moving the abutment means between an abutment position abutting on the steering wheel 18 and a retract position separating from the steering wheel 18.
