The embodiments of the present invention provide a nonlinear compensation device and method, a transmitter and a communication system. The device comprises a preprocessor which is used for preprocessing a transmitting signal in accordance with a preprocessing coefficient obtained in advance, and a predistorter which conducts predistortion processing on the preprocessed signal, so that a comparison result of characteristic parameters of the signal after the predistortion processing and the transmitting signal satisfies a preset condition. The embodiments of the present invention can conduct effective nonlinear compensation only by preprocessing the transmitting signal at a transmitting end and measuring the signal at the transmitting end without measuring same multiple times at a receiving end, and can reduce the circuit complexity of a communication system and the calculating complexity.
