A surgical insertion device comprises a flexible canister defining a lumen, wherein the canister is sized to receive a surgical, possibly robotic device in the lumen. A top cap is coupled to a proximal end of the canister, the top cap comprising at least one lumen defined in the top cap, wherein the at least one lumen is configured to receive a support rod. An incision port is removably coupled to a distal end of the canister, the incision port comprising a fluidic sealing component configured to maintain a fluidic seal. The device may also include a measurement mechanism coupled with the top cap or the incision port, and configured to measure the insertion depth of the surgical device. |
