METHOD FOR ADJUSTING CAMERA MODULE FOCUS

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for adjusting the focus of a camera module at high speed without the breakage risk of the camera module. The method for adjusting the focus of the camera module according to the present invention, regarding the camera module which includes a housing provided at the inner circumferential surface thereof with female threads and having an image sensor attached to the lower side thereof and a lens barrel provided at the outer circumferential surface thereof with male threads to be coupled with the housing and provided therein with a lens and an actuator to rotate the lens about an optical axis, adjust the focus of the camera module by rotating a focus cone able to be coupled with the lens barrel in the camera module. The method includes: measuring the height of the lens having the optimal resolution by moving the lens in the direction of the optical axis using the actuator (step 1); returning the actuator to an original position thereof (step 2); and rotating the focus cone coupled to the lens barrel so that the lens is positioned at the height measured in step 1 (step 3).
