PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a lubricant base oil capable of providing the lubricant base oil having high viscosity index and good low temperature fluidity at high yield.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of manufacturing a lubricant base oil including a first process of conducting aC-NMR analysis about oil to be treated and selecting oil to be treated on the basis of a value that an integral value of a peak assigned to tertiary carbon atom is divided by an integral value of total peak in 0 to 50 ppm, a value that an integral value of a peak assigned to a carbon atom constituting a hydrocarbon main chain is divided by the integral value of the total peak in 0 to 50 ppm, and a value that an integral value of a peak assigned to a branch CHbound to a fifth carbon atom from a terminal carbon atom of the hydrocarbon main chain or a more inner carbon atom is divided by the integral value of the total peak in 10 to 25 ppm in aC-NMR spectrum, and a second process of isomerization dewaxing of the selected oil to be treated in the first process to obtain a dewaxed oil. |
