CLEANING IMPLEMENT A cleaning implement (10) comprising an elongate member (12) having a first end and a second end along a vertical axis; a wringer (18) configured to be slidably positioned along at least a portion of the elongate member (12); a connection assembly (50) configured to be mounted on the second end of the elongate member (12) and secure a plurality of mop fibers to an elongate member (12), the connection assembly (50) comprising: a top portion (1402) comprising: a first surface (1406) defining a first outer perimeter (1408) along a horizontal plane; and a downward-extending vertical wall (1410) extending parallel with the elongate member (12) and perpendicular to the horizontal plane, the wall (1410) being proximate to the first outer perimeter (1408) of the first surface (1406); a bottom portion (1502) comprising: a second surface (1508) defining a second outer perimeter along the horizontal plane, wherein first outer perimeter (1408) is larger than the second outer perimeter; and wherein upon securement of mop fibers between the first (1406) and the second (1508) surfaces, the vertical wall (1410) of the top portion (1402) is configured to force the plurality of mop fibers to traverse from radiating along the horizontal plane to a downward vertical direction to provide increased turning of the fiber in a rotational manner around the vertical axis and reduce twisting of the mop fibers upon themselves when using the wringer (18). |
