<p>The present invention relates to a use of SIRT7 (sirtuin 7) as a liver cancer diagnosis marker. More specifically, the present invention relates to a liver cancer diagnosis marker using a SIRT7 gene, a liver cancer diagnosis composition, a liver cancer diagnosis kit, a liver cancer diagnosis microarray, and a liver cancer diagnosis method using the marker. The present invention also relates to a method for screening a material capable of preventing or treating a liver cancer by restraining the expression of the SIRT7 gene or a SIRT7 protein, and a composition containing the material and capable of preventing or treating a liver cancer. According to the present invention, it is found that the expression amount of the SIRT7 gene is increased in liver cancer tissues or liver cancer cells compared with non-liver cancer tissues or non-liver cancer cells, thus, the liver cancer can be diagnosed and predicted quickly and accurately in the early stage when using the SIRT7 used as the liver cancer diagnosis marker. In addition, the SIRT7 can be utilized as a target of therapeutic agent development for preventing or treating the liver cancer.</p> |
