A CHUCK ADAPTER, CHUCK ADAPTER SEAL AND DRILL STRING SEALING A chuck adapter for operatively coupling a drill chuck to a drill string member, the chuck adapter including a main body, wherein the main body includes: one end for operatively coupling to the drill chuck, wherein operation of the drill chuck rotates the main body of the chuck adapter; an other end including a recess adapted to receive an end of the drill string member and configured to drive the outside surface of the drill string member upon rotation of the main body; and, a bore extending from the one end to the other end of the main body and providing a continuous passage through the chuck adapter.
