PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: aggregate coated with a water-swellable resin composition, which is easy to handle, has a high water cut-off property, and has very low possibility of spilling and environmental pollution; a production method of the same; and a closing process of a joint junction part of a steel pipe sheet pile by using the aggregate coated with a water-swellable resin composition.SOLUTION: The aggregate coated with water-swellable resin composition comprises aggregate which is coated with a coating layer of a mass of 5/100 or more relative to the aggregate. The coating layer comprises a resin composition containing 100 pts.mass of a thermoplastic elastomer, 130 pts.mass or more and 400 pts.mass or less of an ionic water-absorbing resin, and 1 pt.mass or more and 40 pts.mass or less of a polyvalent metal compound.
