PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing force reinforcing method having good workability for an existing building of steel construction.SOLUTION: A bearing force reinforcing method reinforces bearing force by the processes to: remove an existing face material from an external wall panel; remove a substrate plywood exposed by removing the existing face material; fix a rigid reinforcing steel plate 7 to four sides of a panel frame 2a exposed by removing the substrate plywood; place a new substrate material on the reinforcing steel plate 7; and install the existing face material or a new face material on the new substrate material.
