PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system, network control method, and network control program to reduce wasteful power consumption in an ad hoc network.SOLUTION: A node comprises a reception unit 121, a first determination unit 122, a second determination unit 123, a generation unit 124, a transmission unit 125, and a transition unit 126. The reception unit 121 receives a packet and an instruction signal. The first determination unit 122 determines the node to be one of nodes 100 on a first route if the amount of data traffic through the node exceeds a threshold. The second determination unit 123 determines the node to be one of nodes 100 on a second route if the received packet includes the determination result indicating that the node is one of the nodes on the second route and if the node is not one of the nodes on the first route. The generation unit 124 generates a packet to be transmitted to a target forwarding node 100. The transmission unit 125 transmits the generated packet to the target forwarding node 100. The transition unit 126 makes the transition to a power-saving mode if the node is neither one of the nodes 100 on the first route nor one of the nodes 100 on the second route when a signal instructing to transition to the power-saving mode is received. |
