PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation method using an inkjet aqueous ink set capable of yielding, when printed atop a non-porous substrate, an image having a high glossiness and unaccompanied by bleeding; and an inkjet recording device capable of firmly fixing an ink onto a non-porous substrate and stable even after long-term stoppage without entailing nozzle congestions.SOLUTION: The provided image formation method is an image formation method for recording an image atop a non-porous substrate based on an inkjet method and comprises: a step of heating the non-porous substrate at 30°C or above and 80°C or below; and an image forming step of conferring, onto the non-porous substrate, aqueous inks of at least two colors. An ink set comprising aqueous inks each including at least a coloring agent, an emulsion resin, water, and a water-soluble solvent is used as the aqueous inks of at least two colors. The aqueous ink of at least one color selected from among all inks is an aqueous ink having a minimal film formation temperature different from the respective minimal film formation temperatures of aqueous inks of the other colors. |
