<p>A shell structure is disclosed that comprises one or more shell modules. The shell modules each comprise a core module and a face module. The core module comprises a plurality of planar core plates having a geometry that allows them to fold relative to each other when unconstrained from a flat state to an expanded state having curvature. The face module comprises a plurality of planar face plates that are connected together at non-zero angles relative to each other. When the structure is assembled, the core module is in the expanded state and at least one of the face plates is connected along a continuous line to a corresponding core plate on a radially inner or radially outer side of the core module.</p> |
