[Class 78 (i)] In a conveyer system of the kind having work supporting runs extending at an angle to each other in the same plane, the ends of adjacent runs are separated by a narrow crevice of uniform, or substantially uniform, width across which the articles conveyed will be carried by the said runs. The belt 2, Fig. 1, travels on the top of a table 7 and is arranged to have three work supporting runs a, b, c at right-angles to each other. Between the runs a, b the belt is passed through a slot 8 in the table top and below a guide roller 10, Fig. 3. In a similar manner the belt is passed below a guide roller 13 between the runs b, c. The belt is driven by. vertical rollers 3, 4 geared together, one of which is geared to a motor 5. Between the runs a, c and the driving rollers the belt is passed round rollers 6, 14.
