<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor core of a light water reactor for further increasing safety allowance without spoiling economical efficiency of the light water reactor. <P>SOLUTION: A reactor core 20 of a light water reactor has a nuclear fuel material area 12 including five areas, an upper blanket area 5A, an upper fuel area 6A, an internal blanket area 7A, a lower fuel area 8A and a lower blanket area 9A. A fissionable Pu enrichment degree of an upper fuel area 6 with 283 mm of height is 15.7 wt%, and a fissionable Pu enrichment degree of a lower fuel area 8 with 194 mm of height is 20.2 wt%. Height of the upper fuel area 6 is 1.46 fold of height of the lower fuel area 8. In addition, the fissionable Pu enrichment degree of the lower fuel area 8 becomes 1.29 fold of the fissionable Pu enrichment degree of the upper fuel area 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
