<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the mounting structure of an engine starter, capable of suppressing impacts of engagement to reduce noise and suppressing wear or reduced service life due to impacts. <P>SOLUTION: The mounting structure of an engine starter includes a pinion (11) that slides on the output shaft of a starter motor in the shaft direction and transmits rotating force of the starter motor to the ring gear (20) of an engine unit by pushing the pinion to engage with the ring gear, and starts the engine. When mounting the starter (10) including the pinion (11) on the engine unit (30) including the ring gear (20), the starter is mounted on the engine unit via distance setting tools (40, 60) so as to control a distance between the pinion and the ring gear in the shaft direction to a predetermined value in a state before engagement of the pinion with the ring gear. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
