<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of intensively arranging efficiently a plurality of solid light-emitting elements in a limited region. <P>SOLUTION: A mounting surface 22 of LEDs 12 established on a base board 2 is formed of a plurality of mounting surface parts 22a arranged in a zigzag form. Thereby, a plurality of LEDs 12 can be arranged efficiently in a concentrated way in a limited region without causing enlargement or the like of the outline dimensions.
