<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device for an internal combustion engine for reducing risk of increasing intake resistance and depositing a deposit on a rotary valve element, when supplying gas to intake air. <P>SOLUTION: This intake device includes an intake manifold body 1, a headpiece 2 juxtaposed with a plurality of intake openings 3, and the rotary valve element 8 having tunnel-shaped intake flow passages 15 respectively-separately corresponding to the intake openings and changing the opening area of the intake flow passage to the intake openings by relative rotation with the headpiece. Gas supply passages 17 are formed along the rotational axis X of the rotary valve element in positions noninterfering with the intake flow passages of the inside of the rotary valve element, and gas outlets 18 are formed on an outer peripheral surface of the rotary valve element so that gas supplied from the gas supply passages merges with the downstream sides of the respective intake flow passages after flowing on the outer peripheral surface 14b of the rotary valve element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
