<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc discharge evaluation method capable of reliably evaluating the arc discharge state. <P>SOLUTION: The arc discharge evaluation method includes: an image acquisition step S30 of acquiring the arc discharge state as a plurality of analysis image data by photographing a surface of a metal target a plurality of times; a conversion step S50 of converting each analysis image data into the coordinate data, with the prescribed position of the analysis image data photographed in the image acquisition step S30 as the origin; an extraction step S60 of extracting a part corresponding to the arc spot from the coordinate data for each of analysis image data, by comparing the coordinate data with the prescribed threshold; and a characteristic quantity acquisition step 80 of calculating the quadratic function of the extracted coordinate data and the correlation coefficient (r) of the quadratic function by recurring the extracted coordinate data, and acquiring the quadratic term (a) of the quadratic function and the correlation coefficient (r) of the quadratic function as the characteristic quantity of the arc discharge state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
