<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus capable of nanoprinting even on a long-sized base material. <P>SOLUTION: A gravure roll 12, a blanket roll 14, and a backup roll 16 are rotated respectively by motors 18, 26, 32 which are direct drive motors.
