<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner and a production method of the toner excellent in crease durability of a printed material and heat-resistant storage property of the toner. <P>SOLUTION: A production method of an electrophotographic toner comprising a binder resin and a colorant is provided, including a step of heating a mixture containing the following amorphous polyester (A) and a polyester (B) having an isocyanate group at 40 to 160°C. The amorphous polyester (A) is obtained by condensation polymerization of an alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component, wherein the alcohol component contains a bisphenol compound expressed by formula (I) by 70 to 100 mol%, in which at least a part of the bisphenol compound has a primary hydroxyl group bonded to a primary carbon atom, and the proportion of the primary hydroxyl groups determined by<SP POS="POST">1</SP>H-NMR measurement in the hydroxyl groups possessed by the bisphenol compound is 80 to 100%; and the amorphous polyester (A) has a glass transition temperature of 35 to 50°C, a number average molecular weight of 1000 to 2400 and a hydroxyl value of 40 to 100 mgKOH/g. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
