<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet processing method and a packet processing device, capable of reducing packet discard in a flow having a low band use rate, while improving packet processing performance by parallel packet processing. <P>SOLUTION: In a packet processing device 100 including a plurality of packet processors 104 respectively having processing waiting queues 103 and a packet distributor 102 for distributing externally received packets to one of the processing waiting queues 103, when identifying, from the header information of a received packet, a flow including the packet to distribute to the processing waiting queue 103, if the number of packets in the processing waiting queue 103 for a distribution destination exceeds a predetermined threshold, and if the number of packets subordinate to the identical flow to the distribution target packet included in the processing waiting queue 103 is equal to or larger than a flow threshold, the distribution target packet is discarded probabilistically using predetermined algorithm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
