The head (1) has an outwardly open suction box (2) and a textile part (3) completely or partially outwardly covering an outwardly open surface of the box. The box includes side edges (7) and flow bars equipped with plastic bristles (6). The textile part is made of natural fibers, artificial fibers, micro-fibers, mineral fibers, coated fibers, hardened fibers or blended fabric of fibers. The textile part comprises reinforcing rods or plates fixed between an upper side and a lower side (5), and openings whose number, geometry and arrangement in the textile part are adapted to shape of the box.
