<p>Device for at least partially removing phosphates from a liquid to be purified (3), comprises: a first chamber and at least one second chamber, which are formed such that the liquid to be purified can flow through the two chambers, and the second chamber is arranged downstream to the first chamber in a flow direction (4); and at least one agent for removing the phosphates from the liquid flowing through the chambers, which are respectively arranged in the chambers. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a plant for purifying wastewater (1), preferably for removing phosphates from wastewater, comprising a device for removing biodegradable material (2) and/or solids from the wastewater, and the above device; (2) purifying wastewater, preferably removing phosphates from wastewater, comprising providing the above device, supplying the wastewater to be purified to the first chamber, passing the wastewater to be purified through the first and the second chambers, and reducing the concentration of at least one of the impurities, preferably phosphates, in the wastewater to be purified by adsorption on the adsorbent, when it flows through the chambers; and (3) servicing the device for purifying the wastewater, comprising supplying the wastewater to be purified to a chamber, in which at least one agent for removing the impurities from the wastewater that is flowing through the chamber, is arranged, passing the wastewater to be purified through the first and the second chambers, collecting a sample using a collecting device that is arranged downstream to the two chambers, determining the concentration of a specific substance in the sample, and at least partially replacing the agent for removing the impurities in the chamber provided that the concentration in the sample exceeds a predetermined limit value.</p> |
