<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid softener composition with thickening during storage being suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid softener composition contains (A) a tertiary amine, a neutralized product thereof or a quaternized product thereof having, in a molecule, one or more C10 to 24 hydrocarbon groups divided by an amide group, an ester group and/or an ether group, (B) a nonionic surfactant where an alkylene oxide is added in an amount of 20 to 100 mol on average to a primary or secondary alcohol having a carbon number of 8 to 20, and (C) a fatty acid ester of a fatty acid having a carbon number of 8 to 22 with a straight or branched chain alcohol having a carbon number of 1 to 4.
