<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint excellently performing a seal even when external water pressure acts, and to provide a seal material for the same. <P>SOLUTION: In this pipe joint inserted with a spigot into a socket 1, disposed with the annular seal material 6 between an inner circumferential face of the socket 1 and an outer circumferential face of the spigot in a compression state, and disposed in a place where the external water pressure acts, a face on a socket inner side in a seal material storage groove 2 formed in the inner circumferential face of the socket 1 is formed with a tapered surface 2d which is inclined such that the diameter thereof becomes smaller as it goes toward the socket inner side, which a reception inner side portion of the seal material 6 approaches or on which the reception inner side portion abuts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
