The invention relates to a method for producing a fibre-reinforced composite tube (1), wherein a tube of plastic is produced and then a reinforcing layer containing reinforcing filaments is applied to the tube of plastic. According to the invention, the composite produced in this way is subsequently subjected to a post-treatment, in which interspaces between the filaments in the reinforcing layer are sealed in such a way that at least substantially no capillary effect can occur any longer in the reinforcing layer.
