<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device, using laser light, capable of preventing deterioration of uniformity of illumination due to speckle by downsizing of a connection part between an optical fiber and a light guide. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device includes: a light source (1) generating the laser light; an optical fiber (2) for transmitting the laser light; the light guide (4) propagating the light in a planar state; and a phase modulating means (6) for chronologically varying phases of the laser light. One end of the optical fiber (2) composes a light extraction part (7) where the laser light is taken out from side faces of the optical fiber (2), and the longitudinal direction of the light extraction part (7) is arranged along an input part of the light guide (4). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
