<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide clean energy without exhausting CO<SB>2</SB>. <P>SOLUTION: A heavy-weight float 1 which is moved up and down along a lead rail with wave motion and a heavy-weight float 4 which actuates a latch to be pushed or pulled with the wave motion are set upward and downward, respectively at a wave rising limit position with a distance kept betweeen the heavy-weight floats 1 and 4. They are installed on a breakwater, a tetrapod or the like. While the waves rise to push up the heavy-weight floats 1, 4, the rising motion forces the heavy-weight float 4 to push the lever of the latch. The heavy-weight float 1 is pushed up to the rising point of the waves, and moved down at the same time when the waves lower. However, it is hitched and stopped at the position of the latch, and it stays at the position for potential energy conversion. When the waves further lower and pass through the bottom face of the heavy-weight float 4, the latch is pulled with the weight of the heavy-weight float 4 and the heavy-weight float 1 falls down in a space. Such a simple mechanism for converting the falling energy into the rotation of a flywheel is used to improve wave power generation and conversion efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
