A pressure relief valve (20) is provided including a flapper (22) pivotally mounted to a housing (10). The flapper (22) is movable between a first position and a second position. A protrusion (30) extends from a first surface (28) of the flapper (22). A biasing mechanism (34) is positioned near a first end (24) of the flapper (22). The biasing mechanism (34) is configured to apply a biasing force to the first surface (28) of the flapper (22). A non-rotatable pin (40) is arranged generally parallel to the first end of the flapper (22). A drag link (42) is configured to pivot about the non-rotatable pin (40). The drag link (42) includes a retaining feature (48) and is substantially aligned with the protrusion (30) on the flapper (22). When the flapper (22) rotates to the second position, the retaining feature (48) is configured to engage the protrusion (30) to retain the flapper (22) in the second position. |
