The pipe (2) has a muzzle (3) displaced when shooting in bending vibrations. A damping device (5) attenuates the bending vibrations by friction processes between a radially protruding friction ring (6) and friction elements (7). The friction ring is arranged at the muzzle, and the friction elements are loaded by a separate spring element (13) i.e. helical spring. The friction elements are engaged at both sides of the friction ring and axially mounted at the muzzle in a movable manner. The friction elements are designed as friction pins (8) movably held in a holder (14) e.g. holder ring (11).
